Old North End addition and remodel
After previously remodeling the kitchen and providing window & door
replacements, the homeowner of this turn of the century historic home called
us back to design and build a master suite. The design is situated over an
old rear addition with a flat roof that did not complement the design of
the house. We carefully matched the characteristic curved plane of the hip
roof and duplicated the beaded tongue and groove soffit with decorative brackets
and dentil course below.

The
series of operable and fixed doors with divided lights match those on the
1st floor and bring plenty of light into the impressive master bedroom with
vaulted alder ceilings and cherry wood floors.
The master bath is finished with slate tiles, which continue into the open
French shower. The cherry vanity was designed and handcrafted by woodworker
John Lewis.
